Overview
The Cheese Press – Branding & Signage Design With just two weeks to go before opening day, The Cheese Press needed a logo, and I was delighted to take on the challenge. Located in Ennistymon, County Clare, this charming café and deli has become a beloved local spot, known for its music sessions, welcoming atmosphere, and possibly the best toastie in Ireland. The owner’s family are traditional goat cheese producers, so a goat was a natural symbol to feature. I designed a friendly, illustrative goat mark paired with nostalgic serif typography that evokes the warmth and character of an old-school Irish deli. In addition to the logo, I created the façade design for their two shopfronts, helping bring their cheerful, rustic identity to life on the street. It’s especially rewarding to see how the community has embraced the design, local artists now incorporate the logo into murals and artworks around the shop. Deliverables included a logo guideline and a range of logo applications for signage, print, and digital use.
